I assume that you are really engaged in solving difficult problems and many new responsabilities. For all this I wish you the best and therefore to enjoy you’re staying in Rome, the eternal city.
On this occasion, and I’m strongly hoping to be heard this time, I’d like to ask you to be eager with our citizens who are going to surround your embassy daily. Could you please let the barriers (TRANSENNE) around the embassy building be removed from Via Veneto. From via Lucullo and via Sallustiana. I beg you, you’ll show a great sign of being opened towards the beauty of Rome and a good respect for the road network.

I would add: why not replacing the barriers with a nice bike lane on the same pavement? As a matter of fact the Roman pedestrian survived so many years without using it, that it may be devoted to the bycicles…

Lasciando da parte questo sgradevole mare di inglese approvimativo…direi che è un miracolo, (dato che il traffico a Roma è spaventoso), che il bravo “Roman pedestrian” non è ormai investito, schiacciato, e seppollito.

ok, anonimo, io lascio perdere questo “mare (?) sgradevole(??) d’inglese approvimativo” (???), ma tu ripassa l’italico idioma… altrimenti resti “seppollito” (????) dalle parole… (e non dimenticare il congiuntivo!)
